Tips on How to Ensure the Best Outcome in Online Search Results

Every company around the world wants to be on that first page of online search results when a potential client searches for a product or service that they provide. Unfortunately this is not an easy task and requires a professional with extensive internet marketing experience to really understand the latest trends and algorithms in order to help you achieve success.

The good news is that there are ways you can ensure you dominate your industry in search results moving forward. But remember, this takes time, it requires constant updating and monitoring and it will drain valuable resources who are allocated this task. For this reason many companies choose to hire the best SEO company that they can find to help them achieve online success in the long run.

The first things you will want to do to ensure you reach that number one page on search results is to become an authority in your industry. Now as you can imagine you cannot wake up one morning and decide you are an authoritative figure in your industry, it will take work on your side and a lot of time. You can do this by providing valuable and informative blogs, articles, press releases and web pages. You can also run social media pages providing valuable information about your company and/or products and you can take to the forums and blogs and provide answers to questions. There are numerous ways in which to become an authoritative figure in your industry.

Any content you publish on the internet must add value. This is so important. You need to ensure the content published is relevant to your industry and provides your readers with the information that they need, whether it’s a how to article, detailed product descriptions on your website or a video blog on a new product that you have just added to your range. Your content must always be well written and add value to the user’s experience at all times.

Page speed is imperative to your online success. If you want to grow your online business and reach your audience by pushing your way up the ranking in search results then you have to focus on the regulations and requirement set out by the big search engines, such as Google. One of the main criteria that they look for is page speed. These days people live busy lives and chances are if your page takes longer than a few seconds to load, they will simply move on to one of your competitors websites.

Every website these days must be mobile friendly to reduce the risk of being penalized by the search engines. More people are using their smart phones and tablets to search online and to ensure that they have an easy and enjoyable experience, companies must make their websites mobile friendly to accommodate this audience.

The user experience has become more important than ever before. This means lightening fast page speeds, easy to navigate websites, simple and easy ordering processes, secure payments and ore. These days it is not about the information you provide or the keywords you use alone, there are so many elements to ensure all users have the best SEO experience.

Make use of videos and infographs to reach your audience and provide them with valuable information that they are looking for. More and more people focus on watching videos rather than reading an article, so you need to add both to your website, blog and social media pages to ensure you reach your entire audience and push your way to the front of search results in the long run.

Search Engine Optimization – 5 Quick Traffic Tips

Search engine optimization, or SEO, is perhaps one of the most talked about subjects in online marketing. The ever changing world of SEO can cause both frustration and confusion for internet marketers of all levels of competence. The main search engines often change their rules and regulations and that can have devastating and immediate results on a websites ranking and ability to attract organic traffic. These 5 quick traffic tips will help you to stay ahead of the game and are easily implemented into your everyday search engine optimization work.

1. Title Tags:

The title tags of a website are often overlooked but are one of the first things that a search engine will look for to help determine the content of your site. These need to be selected carefully and should be a keyword that accurately describes what your website product or service is all about. Ideally you should use a highly searched keyword that has little competition. To find these it’s worth spending some time investigating variations of your keywords that may not be immediately obvious yet are being searched on a regular basis.

2. Article Marketing:

When you write an article always ensure you include your keyword in the title before you post it to an article submitter or your own blog. This is a common mistake and a really strong traffic generation tool when used correctly so it’s worth getting this right first time. Making your article title attractive and encouraging your potential visitor to click through and read it is also important so try and be a little different whilst also being persuasive.

3. Blogs and Forum Comments:

This is an area that can be used but can also be abused. It’s important not to dive straight in and potentially spam all the blogs and forums with your website URL. Instead start to find blogs and forums in your niche or product area then join in discussions and maybe even answer questions. It is important to build a positive reputation in these environments. You comments will then be shared in the social networks of others which will really help your traffic results.

4. Expired Sites:

Finding a good expired site that relates to your keyword is a fantastic and very untapped tactic to getting organic traffic to your site. This requires very little search engine optimization as others have already done all the hard work for you. For the price of a domain you can help to guarantee a source of traffic to your site.

5. Comparison Reviews:

This is a great way to attract traffic, particularly in the affiliate marketing niche. Look out for new products and software releases and then see if they have an affiliate section where you can help to promote their product. You can then write an honest review that can help other people with their potential purchase decision.

These are just 5 quick fire tips for improving your traffic quickly and legitimately. Search engine optimization can be difficult but learning the basics and putting them into practice can be an empowering and successful path to improve your website or online business.

Search Engine Optimization – Why Business Needs It

I have found that many internet marketing entrepreneurs have never really learned or practiced SEO. What may have worked before, may not work now.

Search engine optimization is much like continuing education in various professions, you need to keep up to date.

The nice thing about SEO is it is free. The downer is it’s slower. But, it is a must for marketers looking to stick around for the long-term. If you want a loyal base who you can count on to be there for you, and your site for them, you need proper SEO.

Also, if you are creating a “Brand” or “Authority” site, you need to optimize your web business. The risk of getting the proverbial “Google Slap” becomes less of a risk.

Internet marketing has almost become an art, in regards to proper SEO and good usable content. Typically though, if you write from the mind or heart, without copying or repeating keywords, you are safe.

In this article I would like to touch on a few tips that may help your blog’s search engine rankings. I will try to stick to a few of the main ones in this short blog post. If you aren’t at least doing these steps, you are missing the boat.

When writing a blog, include your main keyword in your title. The title should be repeated three times. These three are Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3. Heading 1 should be the main post title. Heading 2 should be at the beginning of the title. Heading 3 should be at the bottom of the page. If using WordPress, utilize the correct font in the menu for each.

For best results and to attract a more targeted audience, try to limit your number of keywords to three. Include long tail keywords which consist of three or more words.

Internet marketing is a bit of wasted effort if your SEO does not include keyword density and meta description. Try to keep keyword use at between 2 and 4% of the total article. This is very easily done with a WordPress Plugin called SEOPressor. This plugin displays your keyword density and you do not have to do any math!

Your meta description is what is displayed in the Google search results. It should be eye-catching and includes your main keyword.

Lastly, use the following SEO tips on your blog’s keywords:

Bold print a keyword at least once.

Put a keyword in italics.

Use quotations on a keyword,

Use a relevant YouTube video in your article.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

The History and Evolution of Search Engines

In 1990 Archie the world’s first search engine was introduced to the World Wide Web followed by other several others that did not use any algorithm to display search queries results. The commencement of the new millennium has witnessed fierce completions among several search engines for internet search. Some of the big names were Lycos, AOL, AltaVista, Excite, HotBot, InfoSeek, Yahoo, MSN and Google. The mighty Google was just another search engine trying to make a name for itself. In the year 2002 Google started to quickly gain huge market share forcing several search engines to close their doors in the following few years. Unlike Yahoo and MSN Google focused primarily on being the best search engine. On the other hand Yahoo and MSN spent billions trying to be the best at everything only to realize years later that it was a devastating mistake. Google hired the smartest people on the planet to develop a highly sophisticated algorithm that produced most relevant search results in less than half a seconds, Google’s strategy proved to be the best. In October 2015, comScore reported that Google had 63.9 percent of the search market.

The History of PPC Search Engine Marketing

Several PPC platforms made millions through a business model that rewarded the top bidder the first position and the second highest bidder second and so on. Findwhat and Overture acquired later on by Yahoo had the biggest network of affiliate websites. Those affiliate websites, earned a commission percentage on each click generated through their website. Invalid clicks otherwise known as robot clicks designed to produce fraudulent clicks on search listings to generate extra profit for them on the advertiser’s expense was very common, hindering the quality of the traffic.

With the introduction of Google AdWords quality score, an algorithm that does not only display the search results based only on the cost per click but also on several other factors such as the your ad’s expected CTR, ad relevance, landing page experience, and more. Google quality score has revolutionized search engine marketing and proved to be very successful in providing the user with the most accurate and relevant search results. Today with the exception of Bing ads a joint venture between Yahoo and MSN all PPC search engines are out of business due to the fact that no one was able to stop Google from gaining the lion’s share of the billions of dollars spent every year on search marketing.
